From a young boy entrepreneurship was in his blood.  Paul grew up on the south-side of Chicago in the late 60’s and 70’s it was not the same as Chicago now but it was still a tough place to grow up; nevertheless, his parents kept him surrounded by a lot of entrepreneurs who grew up in the same area as he. It showed him that your zip code does not determine your destiny, but with hard work and dedication anything is possible. My father was a dentist who owned his own practice and my godfather was a medical doctor who also owned his own practice. Paul worked part time in both offices and he knew he did not necessarily wanted to go into providing healthcare, but he knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur like them! Their medical practices were like non other because mold and create the environment,

Paul started BMA in 1994 a very critical time for his family. His first daughter was about to start first grade at a private school and because his children are like stair-steps in age his other two daughters would follow; however, Paul knew stepping out on faith would make him a great example for my children. Of course, there were barriers in the road, but he would not change the journey it made him the business man he is today.

Who is Paul Dark and what is Benefit Management? Paul Dark is a family man, a husband, a father, a father in law, a grandfather, a son, and an uncle. Benefit Management Associates in a company that provides healthcare insurance to companies that will benefit family. Our employee benefits include: business insurance, H.R. and payroll, wellness programs service and other products through our partnership with various companies. My company was built with love and family in mind, and we have been serving the community for 26 years and counting. The best is yet to come for BMA.

Aurora has served the community in education for ten years, she loves to help people in her community and church.  Aurora is a member of CLOW (children’s liturgy of the word).  Aurora also is a member of LULAC League of United Latin American Citizens.

 Aurora loves to exercise, she enjoys Zumba and going for long walks. Her family is her pride and joy.  Aurora loves spending time with her family and friends.

R. David Salter is Licensed Life/Health & Annuities Consultant who is Resident Licensed in Florida while holding Non Resident Licensure in 10 other states (I.e. SC, NC, VA, TN, OH, MI, TX, NM, GA, CA).

While holding the dual designation since 2014, David has certainly utilized the Health designation of licensure more extensively over the course of 5 years. His knowledge in the Health Insurance sector ranges from a myriad of Private Market plans for Individuals Under 65 such as: Short Term Medical, Hospital & Fixed Indemnity Supplement Coverage, Unsubsidized Marketplace Coverage as well as Subsidized Marketplace Plans.

The last 2 years of R. David’s tenure in the arena has certainly garnered him some strong networks in relation to a more structured demographic in Group Health Benefit Plans. He has developed a bilateral tiered system in vetting and scouting Group Health Prospects while consulting with prospects for Individual Plans is what allows his versatility to stand out. Making the client’s needs paramount & performing ethical business practices while remaining goal oriented in his daily tasks is what makes David’s services sought after by his diverse clientele. Ultimately in this industry, David’s vision is to create the quintessential Group Benefits Portfolio for a commercial clientele with the flexibility to offer services ranging from Group Health Benefits, Retirement Strategies such as: 401k/403b/IRA and Group Life.

Eric is The Managing Partner & Financial Advisor with Polaris Wealth Management, a firm that specializes in insurance, investments and financial advisory services for individual and businesses.  Eric has over 35 years of experience and knowledge in personal and business financial Services, and is a tremendous speaker and lecturer on matters related to personal and business financial planning. Eric is known for his outspoken advocacy on matters related to financial empowerment, generational wealth.

Eric expresses himself as the host of a weekly national radio show, The Family Meeting on WCPT am & fm, and has been a contributor to various media outlets including Black Enterprise, The Wall Street Journal & WVON radio.

Eric is a proud Howard University alum with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance & Insurance and most important, a husband and father. Eric and his wife, Tiffani, have three children, Irie II (Howard ‘18), Lila (Spelman ‘20), and Malcolm (Delaware State ‘24).

Eric's management career highlights include:

- Metlife I grew a scratch office to #12 in the country in 18 months.

- With Genworth, I led the nation in recruiting every year,

MARVIN PARAMORE

Growing up on the south side of Chicago taught Marvin Paramore a lot about community. From a very early age, he was able to see just how much a collective of people can achieve by simply supporting one another and engaging in ownership of their neighborhood. Unfortunately, the tools to do so are seemingly out of reach for many people. As he reached adulthood, he sought to change that.

In 2015, after 30+ years working in the corporate sector, Marvin fulfilled his dream of business ownership by opening the Paramore branch of Allstate Insurance and running his own agency as an exclusive agent for Allstate. Starting from “scratch” during those years, he was able to build a client base by working within his community and reaching out to help serve other Chicagoland/Indiana neighborhoods. After growing the agency to scale, Marvin sold his branch, became an independent agent, and founded Paramore Insurance Advisors (PIA), a multi-line insurance brokerage serving individual, commercial, and institutional clients.

PIA was built to service clients’ personal needs and desires through a variety of companies that offer coverage tailor-made to unique circumstances. As an independent agent serving in a consultancy role, Marvin is able to more effectively provide insurance solutions to prospective customers. And that is a crucial step toward his ultimate goal: to help individuals and communities build wealth, and protect it for generations.

RYAN HOFFMAN

Ryan is the Associate Director of Best Insurance Group out of Tampa, FL.  He specializes in coverages for individuals, families, self-employed, and small businesses.

He works with all the major carriers nationwide.  With options in every state, he can help to find the best fit for his clients’ specific needs and budget.  He has saved his numerous clients precious time and money helping them navigate their options while making an informed and educated decision when it comes to their health, life, and supplemental insurance.  He does all of this while running a highly successful team of agents and advisors in the Tampa Bay area.

Ryan is a proud University of Florida Gator, a huge Tampa Bay Lightning fan, and a father of three children--Ella, Samantha, and Conor.  When he’s not working, he can be found on the golf course, playing hockey, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
